MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN WORKING ON A NEW ROOM RIGHT OFF OF MY STUDIO WITH A DOOR IN BETWEEN SO I CAN USE IT AS WELL. IT IS GREAT BECAUSE I WILL HAVE MY OWN BATHROOM AND KITCHENETTE TO USE.

WE WILL USE IT FOR MY MOTHER WHEN SHE VISITS AND ANYONE ELSE THAT WOULD LIKE TO STAY AND HAVE THEIR OWN SPACE.

I took a little weekend trip to visit my daughter in Napa California and had a very nice visit. It is always very interesting to say the least when there are four dogs in her household !!!

Just like children they all have their own personality. :)

This is how I have been feeling lately it seems~~~

Life has been very challenging lately with the news of a illness in our family. I think that times like this is when we really stop and realize what we are really made of. Life is so very short.

I am really trying to wrap my head around all of these things and get some work done. For me it seems to be therapy.

I thank all of you who follow my BLOG and for the wonderful messages you always leave me. I do appreciate all of you !!!

This is a photo of my mom as a young lady and her cousin. Mom has always been a very fun loving happy person even though my dad was a little hard on her at times. It wasn't always fun being married at a very young age and having five children. She tells me how she would have loved just to get out and go somewhere without all of us for just one night a month !!! It makes me feel very sad that she couldn't have much "ME" time as we call it now. We all need a break from time to time but in those days things were very different. They went through the depression and really had hard times.

Now my mother is 84 years old and my dad has passed away. I am trying to get her closer to my husband and myself and try our best to show her some fun times !!!

My mom writes poems now and I have one to share with all of you...

NEW WEB SITE !!!

Well I have actually put my own new web site together. :) With a little help from another teddy bear artist friend I finally got it done. I have much to learn but it is a start.
I am starting to get back to work. I did get a couple of orders and am starting some new bears. It has been very hard to concentrate on business with trying to get settled from our move and having company and just enjoying being back near family and friends again. I am getting there though. :)

For those of you who follow my Blog you can see that I have been very busy with moving etc. etc. I am so looking forward to just sitting down and getting some new teddies made but when one works at home it is very challenging at times. :)

Right now my mother is here from Mo. So nice to see her and spend some time with her but very hard to get things done. Oh well it will have to wait.
My husband mom and daugthter Kim went up the hill for a ride on Tues. to Apple Hill !!! There are many apple orchards pumpkins crafts and eating places, and the list goes on. It was a beautiful fall day !!!

This is a statue in the middle of town. This was a goldrush town so this is a man mining for gold !!!

Today is our daughter's Birthday !!! I won't say how old she is because that makes me older and that is so not right~~~

I just love having a daughter. We have always had a special bond. It's great to know that whatever happens in one's life you have children that care for you. What is there in life if we don't have "LOVE".

Kim is a animal lover as you can see from some of my posts. As a child I had to tell her "just look the other way you cannot save every animal you see". Well she still tries. ;)
She has the biggest heart and is so passionate about what she believes in.

I know I know, when are you going to get back to work girly? Well as an artist one has much thinking to do to come up with that very special project. :) Since I have been working so hard on the house and this move I guess I needed a wee little break. It's so nice to be back where I can see my kids once in awhile so when I have a chance to spend a little time with them I just say what the heck I will work later. :)

My daughter Kim was here on Mon. and brought little "Cooper" with her. We hung around here for awhile and then took off to the outdoor mall up the road. We had lunch and just wandered around enjoying the wonderful day!!!

As we all know it is as hard on animals as it is on adults when something in our lives changes. Sophie follows me everywhere I go when putting things away etc. She gets locked in the bedroom by mistake, she goes into a closet and lays down~~~ Awww poor Sophie !!!

As most of you know we have made a move back to California closer to our kids and family. It has been a month now and finally I do have my studio finished. I know when I start working I will probably move things around again. :)

It seems no matter how many times a person moves you find things that bring back "Memories". As I was putting away my cookbooks I came across some of my Grandmothers Cook Books ~~ They really did bring a smile to my face and many thoughts of the past..In this very fast and frantic world we live in sometimes it would be so nice just to go back just once in awhile. :)

Now these clips below where very interesting especially since my husband does most of the cooking now !!!

I do the baking because that seems to be my specialty~~~

All Moved !!!

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that we have finally gotten moved back to Ca. YAY!!! I thought I would take a quick break in between painting...Not my favorite thing to do so I take breaks in between. :) Then I unpack boxes~~~ So glad when this is all done so I can decorate. My most favorite thing to do besides making bears, which I hope to be doing again very soon. I do have two new creations that I had gotten done before the move so I will be posting them soon.
This is a house built in 1950 so it has lots of very special things about it !!! I just love the older homes...

The photo below is a building on the property that was with the original home that was built in 1910. So glad they left this wonderful little building !!! It is right outside close to my studio... Not sure what it was for.

I promise to be back very soon with more photos to share...

This is Trixie and she is 10" tall and made out of a wonderful very dense alpaca fur at 1" in length. She is very chubby :) This is a creamy buttery color. Fully jointed with armatures in her arms, German glass eyes in black with eye whites. Filled with polyfill BB's and coated glass beads. Hand stitched nose in a dark brown cotton floss. Extensively sculpted and shaded.

*Vintage hat and neck piece.

This is Dusty and he is 12 1/2" tall (This is a new design) He has a old style design center seamed head. He is made out of a dense straight mohair in a gold color with dark brown backing. He has bent legs so he sits very nice. Polyfill BB's and coated glass beads. German glass eyes with eyewhites. Hand stitched nose in black. Wool felt paw pads. Sculpted and shaded.

*Denim hat and denim striped scarf with pin.

I just love these pictures that I took while I was visiting my daughter in Napa Ca. There is something so great about country photos. After having a great dinner in St. Helena right outside of Napa we were wandering around looking at some of the wonderful country roads and vineyards !!! I do love the winery's up that way. :)

In this hustle bustle world we live in it is so nice to remember the true CALM that we can still see all around us if we just take the time to acknowledge the truly good things that our eyes can see !!!

I don't know about anyone else but Patience is very hard for me and most people I believe. I am one that believes that everything happens for a reason in our lives. Sometimes it is very hard to stick to that saying when you are waiting on something and it doesn't happen in the time frame that you think it should. :) As most of you know we are going to make a move back to California to be closer to our family. We are waiting on one thing from the "Lender" so that we can get things lined up and be on our way. I am so anxious to get my new studio all set up !!!!

So while I wait I guess I will have that cup of coffee and maybe a piece of chocolate!!!! :) :)

*Her rompers are very old and are oh so sweet on her!!! Silk ribbon on her head. Sweet little pink shoes to match her little rompers !!!

*Hand stitched nose in a black perle cotton. Waxed lightly.

Well it looks as though we will be moving again soon. We sold our home and have been staying at a friends house for over three months now trying to find a new place to call home. We did find a home in Northern California closer to our family so that makes me very happy !!! So now it's getting things out of storage and finally getting back to life again. I will have my own studio outside of the house. Yayyy !!!
