"CHRISTMAS PAST"

Well it seems as though Christmas is just a few days away and not being able to be with family seems really hard this year. So in keeping with some kind of Christmas spirit I just needed to go through some photos of CHRISTMAS before we moved to IDAHO. It seems as though we all go through many changes in our lives and we really never know what next year will bring. So I just have to tell myself as I click my shoes together, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, TAKE ME BACK TO SUNNY CALIFORNIA. :)

Oh those special moments we have with our pets !!!! The black doggy in the photo is my daughters dog Bell. I guess you could say she is sort of a grand child to me. :) And of course the other photo is of our dog Sophie. She was very focused that day as she was waiting for her master (my husband) to return from the store. It seems as though it is those oh so very small things in our lives that we often times get to busy to really appreciate. If we as humans could only be satisified to just go for a walk, and if a pat on the head would just make our day, how special that would be.
So I just hope for this very special holiday season that we can take the time to go that extra mile for those that may come into contact with us. I know~~ I know~~ sometimes you really don't feel like taking the time, but I know for myself I always feel better about myself to take a selfless moment from time to time... :)

"CHRISTMAS"

Well it seems as thought the countdown is upon us. Atleast I was seeing that image at the post office this morning....OH MY !!! I really do hate the crowds so I really try and get my errands run early this time of the year. It seems as though there is always so much to do and so little time.
For my husband and I it will be a very lonely Christmas this year not being able to see our kids and granddaughter. :( Thanks God for digital cameras and computers. :) I wasn't even going to decorate for the holiday and my daughter made me feel really guilty so I did just enough to bring out a little Christmas spirit...

DECEMBER ALREADY ???

Ok I know I am a little slow with keeping up on my BLOG page...Always soooo... much to do it seems. I don't know about anyone else but it seems as though this year has just gown by so quickly...WOW!!!

My Vacation ~~~

Well it seems like forever since I have posted on my BLOG !!! Wow... Well I have been away visiting my kids in California, and then my daughter and I took a trip to Mo. to see my mother. It was nice to see everyone, but always good to get back to ones own home. :) It was a very fast trip seeing everyone, going to Branson Mo. and Eureka Springs Ar. etc. Now it's back to WORK !!!

"HAPPINESS"

My grandmother on her 80th birthday !!!! I think this says it all !!!!


"HAPPINESS"

What can I say about happiness....Well the thought came to me last week as I was resting after a dental appointment. I never take a nap or even sit down for long except to work on my bears, so there I was thinking, and why this subject? I thought to myself what really is happiness. Hummm~~~I know for myself it isn't just about possesions and money. Although it sure would be easier without having the worry of needing money. :) As I went through my day and into the week I started noticing things as I never had before, little things that most of us are so busy that we don't pay to much attention to. Much to my supprise I really started to notice things that I really hadn't noticed or paid to much attention to lately. For instance the little bitty birds drinking from a puddle in the street as I went on my walk one morning.They just seemed so happy just to be alive. The family walking accross the street at the farmers market hands in tow, and as I looked up I saw the kindest smile on a mans face as he watched them cross the street. Why is it that we seem to miss the truly small things in life that really do make a difference. And how it touched my heart as I was coming out of Walgreens only to see and hear this kind sales clerk helping an elderly couple. The gratitude they felt for this lady helping them was all over their faces.....
I know for myself that when a fellow artist or loved one says "GREAT JOB" it just makes me feel very worthy and happy. Or when I have had a stressful day and our little dog Sophie looks up at me as if to say "I LOVE YOU". The gentle touch or smile from a spouse or loved one. What happiness that brings to us. These things don't cost a dime and what a difference it can make in an attitude.

Each and every one of us are going through or have gone through hard times in our lives. And when this happens it's all we can do just to get through another day it seems. I have some very dear friends that are climbing up some very high mountains right now in their lives and with Gods help they will slide down the other side with renewed strength.

I just hope that for myself as well as others that I always remember to stop and smell those roses from time to time. :)

Right about now is when my daughter would be putting out her hand as if to hand me a microphone. She used to say it was for my journal. :) Actually it was her way of telling me enough already MOM !!!

Life is so very complex and yet so very simple.....

I will leave you with these special phrases from a couple of emails that I received recently.....

ROOMS FINISHED ~~~~

Ok here are the rooms finished. I am so glad that is done. I still need something above the guest room bed. That will come when I see the right thing or make it myself. Now on to the next thing to do. Oh~~maybe bears. :)

WHAT WERE WE THINKING !!!!

I don't know what we were thinking but we decided to switch our guest room and office. The spare bedroom is larger and we thought we needed the extra room since we both share the same office space. Well great thought but a lot of work it turned out. It always turns into more than we ever expect. :) Anyway this was our weekend project. I almost have everything back to normal except for something (new) on the wall above the guest room bed. I do like it much better. My husband thought that I was going to put a hospital curtain around his desk. :) He knows I do not like clutter.....
Our dog Sophie was feeling a little neglected so Craig had to take a moment to play with her.
I promise I am working on bears~~~~

New Bears

Yes finally I have three new bears for sale. I have got to get myself back into the work mode. :) After company and our shopping trips and eating out etc. I got a little spoiled. I did have my granddaughter help me name a few while she was here.

I hope that all of you are having a wonderful summer. It has been very hot and smokey here in Boise.

"A SAD DAY"

Well it has been a very busy two weeks for me. Our daughter was here for ten days for a visit from Napa Ca. and then one day later our granddaughter came in for five days from Ca. What fun we had !!! I do not get to see Amanda our granddaughter as much as I would like to0 so we were out everyday doing something. Of course a 15 year old girl likes to shop~~so shop we did !!! I think that Macy's really likes me. :)

I had to take her back to the airport yesterday to go home. I already miss her~~What a fun and wonderful young lady she is turning into. And believe me she does know her brand names. :)

Ok one more thing~~I will be posting three new bears on my web site and possibly Ebay in the next day or two. Please watch for the new bears !!! I was not able to get much done but I cramed in a few minutes here and there.

New Blog Introduction~~~

Ok I guess it is time for me to get on the band wagon so to speak and do what everyone else seems to be doing and that is the BLOG !!! I am new to this so please be patient.

This has been a very hot summer here in Boise plus having visitors it has been very interesting. As for those of you who work at home they know what I am talking about when I say it is wonderful to work at home butttt----at the same time very challenging.

I am trying my best to catch up on some order plus add a few new bears to my web site.

This is my latest little fellow that I finished made out of a wonderful vintage coat that I found at an antique store.
