"HAPPY NEW YEAR" !!!

I am hoping that this New Year will be the greatest yet for all of you. It seems as though each and everyone of us have things in our lives that could be better. My hope is that I will be able to help someone even in a very small way that will make a difference in their life.

I do hope that this Blog in some way whether it be a photo of one of my new creations or just something funny in my own life that will bring a smile to your face.

Life is so full of twists and turns that sometimes all it takes to get through is just a simple gesture or a smile to lift someones spirits !!!

EARLY THANKSGIVING !!!

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by. As many of you know my mother was with us for three weeks visiting and checking out our new home. Since she had to go back before Thanksgiving we had a early holiday with the family. It was very nice to be together since she lives so far away. We are trying to get her to move closer!!!

NEW WEB SITE !!!

Well I have actually put my own new web site together. :) With a little help from another teddy bear artist friend I finally got it done. I have much to learn but it is a start.
 I am starting to get back to work. I did get a couple of orders and am starting some new bears. It has been very hard to concentrate on business with trying to get settled from our move and having company and just enjoying being back near family and friends again. I am getting there though. :)

Company !!!

For those of you who follow my Blog you can see that I have been very busy with moving etc. etc. I am so looking forward to just sitting down and getting some new teddies made but when one works at home it is very challenging at times. :)

Right now my mother is here from Mo. So nice to see her and spend some time with her but very hard to get things done. Oh well it will have to wait.
My husband mom and daugthter Kim went up the hill for a ride on Tues. to Apple Hill !!! There are many apple orchards pumpkins crafts and eating places, and the list goes on. It was a beautiful fall day !!!

"ANTIQUE FAIRE"

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by to check out my Blog...I know it has been awhile but it seems there are only so many hours in a day. :)

Since we needed a little break from all of our work on this house and having a garage sale on Sat. we thought we would take a break on Sun. and take a drive up the hill to Auburn Ca. I just love it in the hills. They were having a antique show so that was right up my alley.

This is a statue in the middle of town. This was a goldrush town so this is a man mining for gold !!!

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM"

Today is our daughter's Birthday !!! I won't say how old she is because that makes me older and that is so not right~~~

I just love having a daughter. We have always had a special bond. It's great to know that whatever happens in one's life you have children that care for you. What is there in life if we don't have "LOVE".

Kim is a animal lover as you can see from some of my posts. As a child I had to tell her "just look the other way you cannot save every animal you see". Well she still tries. ;)
She has the biggest heart and is so passionate about what she believes in.

A few housewarming gifts for our new home !!! My motherinlaw has great taste !!! A nice baking dish that I just had to test out. It also has a lid that matches. And the fruit lights and candle. I do love candles !!!

Fun Day !!!

I know I know, when are you going to get back to work girly? Well as an artist one has much thinking to do to come up with that very special project.  :) Since I have been working so hard on the house and this move I guess I needed a wee little break. It's so nice to be back where I can see my kids once in awhile so when I have a chance to spend a little time with them I just say what the heck I will work later. :)

My daughter Kim was here on Mon. and brought little "Cooper" with her. We hung around here for awhile and then took off to the outdoor mall up the road. We had lunch and just wandered around enjoying the wonderful day!!!

We have not had much time lately to explore much but we took a little break and went up the road just ten miles to Roseville, right outside of Sacramento to a very nice outdoors shopping center. We had to pick up some of our special coffee so we thought we could check things out....

SOPHIE !!!

 As we all know it is as hard on animals as it is on adults when something in our lives changes. Sophie follows me everywhere I go when putting things away etc. She gets locked in the bedroom by mistake, she goes into a closet and lays down~~~ Awww poor Sophie !!!

It's very tiring wandering around after me all day. :)

"MEMORIES"

As most of you know we have made a move back to California closer to our kids and family. It has been a month now and finally I do have my studio finished. I know when I start working I will probably move things around again. :)

 It seems no matter how many times a person moves you find things that bring back "Memories". As I was putting away my cookbooks I came across some of my Grandmothers Cook Books ~~ They really did bring a smile to my face and many thoughts of the past..In this very fast and frantic world we live in sometimes it would be so nice just to go back just once in awhile. :)

Now these clips below where very interesting especially since my husband does most of the cooking now !!!

I do the baking because that seems to be my specialty~~~
