I just had to share this very special Christmas card that I received from my niece and her boyfriend yesterday. This was truly a special treat, it just made my day !!!!

Oh those special moments we have with our pets !!!! The black doggy in the photo is my daughters dog Bell. I guess you could say she is sort of a grand child to me. :) And of course the other photo is of our dog Sophie. She was very focused that day as she was waiting for her master (my husband) to return from the store. It seems as though it is those oh so very small things in our lives that we often times get to busy to really appreciate. If we as humans could only be satisified to just go for a walk, and if a pat on the head would just make our day, how special that would be.
So I just hope for this very special holiday season that we can take the time to go that extra mile for those that may come into contact with us. I know~~ I know~~ sometimes you really don't feel like taking the time, but I know for myself I always feel better about myself to take a selfless moment from time to time... :)

"CHRISTMAS"

Well it seems as thought the countdown is upon us. Atleast I was seeing that image at the post office this morning....OH MY !!! I really do hate the crowds so I really try and get my errands run early this time of the year. It seems as though there is always so much to do and so little time.
For my husband and I it will be a very lonely Christmas this year not being able to see our kids and granddaughter. :( Thanks God for digital cameras and computers. :) I wasn't even going to decorate for the holiday and my daughter made me feel really guilty so I did just enough to bring out a little Christmas spirit...

DECEMBER ALREADY ???

Ok I know I am a little slow with keeping up on my BLOG page...Always soooo... much to do it seems. I don't know about anyone else but it seems as though this year has just gown by so quickly...WOW!!!

My Vacation ~~~

Well it seems like forever since I have posted on my BLOG !!! Wow... Well I have been away visiting my kids in California, and then my daughter and I took a trip to Mo. to see my mother. It was nice to see everyone, but always good to get back to ones own home. :) It was a very fast trip seeing everyone, going to Branson Mo. and Eureka Springs Ar. etc. Now it's back to WORK !!!

"HAPPINESS"

My grandmother on her 80th birthday !!!! I think this says it all !!!!

What can I say about happiness....Well the thought came to me last week as I was resting after a dental appointment. I never take a nap or even sit down for long except to work on my bears, so there I was thinking, and why this subject? I thought to myself what really is happiness. Hummm~~~I know for myself it isn't just about possesions and money. Although it sure would be easier without having the worry of needing money. :) As I went through my day and into the week I started noticing things as I never had before, little things that most of us are so busy that we don't pay to much attention to. Much to my supprise I really started to notice things that I really hadn't noticed or paid to much attention to lately. For instance the little bitty birds drinking from a puddle in the street as I went on my walk one morning.They just seemed so happy just to be alive. The family walking accross the street at the farmers market hands in tow, and as I looked up I saw the kindest smile on a mans face as he watched them cross the street. Why is it that we seem to miss the truly small things in life that really do make a difference. And how it touched my heart as I was coming out of Walgreens only to see and hear this kind sales clerk helping an elderly couple. The gratitude they felt for this lady helping them was all over their faces.....
I know for myself that when a fellow artist or loved one says "GREAT JOB" it just makes me feel very worthy and happy. Or when I have had a stressful day and our little dog Sophie looks up at me as if to say "I LOVE YOU". The gentle touch or smile from a spouse or loved one. What happiness that brings to us. These things don't cost a dime and what a difference it can make in an attitude.

Each and every one of us are going through or have gone through hard times in our lives. And when this happens it's all we can do just to get through another day it seems. I have some very dear friends that are climbing up some very high mountains right now in their lives and with Gods help they will slide down the other side with renewed strength.

I just hope that for myself as well as others that I always remember to stop and smell those roses from time to time. :)

Right about now is when my daughter would be putting out her hand as if to hand me a microphone. She used to say it was for my journal. :) Actually it was her way of telling me enough already MOM !!!

Life is so very complex and yet so very simple.....

I will leave you with these special phrases from a couple of emails that I received recently.....
